What began as an end-of-the-year roundup of the best gear I had tested quickly grew into a continuing guide of the most valuable accessories and tech you should buy. As such, this list is never complete. It will continue to change as new products come and go and as I get a chance to review them.
Picking the very best out of the best isn't easy, and a lot of these choices hinge on my own neurodiverse needs. For example, I will favor headphones without sensation triggers or that help to overcome overstimulation. But I think I've found the perfect mix of titles that should fit every need.
Below, you'll find sections for gaming, productivity, content creation, and other everyday carry items that have gotten me through the months. As always, everything has links to full reviews, and you can always come back to this page to reference something you may have missed.

The best tech
2025 was the year that I really started to cover technology in a big way, and it made a huge difference in my everyday carry as well.
For my personal gear, I tend to favor streamlined experiences over newer and fancier tech. The price doesn't matter as long as it fits into my backpack, uses the same charging cables, and works with every other piece of gear that I've built my setup around.
In the past 12 months, both Apple and Android have begun to work supremely well together. Past failings, like Airdrop or easy pairing, have been smoothed out entirely.
Mova Z50 Ultra
"MOVA Z50 Ultra is a cleaning robot from the future that actually works"
A major surprise was the MOVA Z50, a robot vacuum that I traveled to see in Sweden, which has made a considerable difference in my everyday life. As someone with ADHD and general cognitive disabilities, cleaning isn't exactly one of my strengths. I use MOVA at least once a week on a routine cleaning program, and it amazes me every time how smartly and efficiently the device handles both vacuuming and mopping.
It's also extremely easy to fix, something that I was initially worried about in my review back in April. Spare parts are readily available online, and the manual for replacing and cleaning parts is detailed and easy to parse. It's the kind of technology the Jetsons promised us all the way back in the 70s, and it feels like the one true piece of the future that I've covered all year.
Most future technology creates a problem that needs a solution. MOVA’s Z50 Ultra is a solution to a timeless one. It doesn’t eliminate cleaning from your life entirely, but it does make it so easy that it feels like a genuine change in the way that I perceive chores in the future.
Easy to use, reliable, and thoroughly impressive in its implementation of cutting-edge technology, the Z50 Ultra is everything we were promised by The Jetsons, only real and accessible. You have to see it to believe it.

Sony ULT Power Sound
"The ULT Power Sound is a terrific piece of tech that became a surprisingly helpful tool in managing my anxiety on the road."
Another major surprise was the Sony ULT Power Sound headphones, which I expected to like, but did not anticipate would make a major difference in my health.
In my review, I go into further detail about how they helped me on a personal level, but the gist of it is simple: The ample bass boost in the headphones vibrates the area around my ears to the point that it sends a soothing signal around my body when I experience an anxiety attack.
No, it's not scientific, and it probably won't work for everyone. But some will probably notice the effect of these well-built and otherwise nice-sounding headphones that I've come to use daily.

DJI Mic Mini
"The DJI Mic Mini refines the series to a smaller form factor with fantastic quality-of-life improvements for on-the-go recording."
DJI, a favorite in my daily use from 2024, made huge strides with their releases of the DJI Mic lineup – both the Mic Mini and Mic 3 are brilliant pieces of gear – and brought in a fantastic last-minute addition to the year with the Osmo Action 6.
At the price, the DJI Mic Mini is the current champion to beat in this category. It delivers high-quality sound with very few compromises in a form factor that continues to impress even after months of heavy use. If you're in the market for your first wireless mic or you're upgrading from the DJI Mic to something newer, the Mic Mini is a fantastic choice for newcomers and even more experienced users.

OnePlus 15
"The OnePlus 15 is one of the best phones of the year and the flagship to beat when it comes to battery life."
The OnePlus 15 is a fantastic all-rounder phone, and that's not a dismissal or a downplay of its remarkable qualities. Today, most phones are fine or even great in some areas. Many deliver incredible photos or superb AI tools, but few work in such a way that I'd consider them extensions of my job.
For a personal carry device, something that I'd see myself using for years to come (my current daily driver is still the S23 Ultra), it needs to hit a number of things with such reliability that I don't think about them or feel anxious over their performance when I'm on the road.
The OnePlus 15 hits all of those demands. It is a stunning workhorse that is never left wanting for power. Its camera is one of the best we've seen all year, not just in specs, but in reliability as well. It is a durable piece of hardware that feels like a premium device. On top of that, OnePlus has matured into a stable, smartly designed ecosystem that understands the importance of getting things done.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra
"A content creation and productivity beast, the S26 Ultra might be an iterative update, but it's still among the very best."
The S26 Ultra feels like an extension of my thought process. For a neurodivergent tech fan and content creator, that's a huge compliment.
During my test period, I've consistently found myself using it as an accessibility helper, productivity tool, and a daily collector of memories. Yes, that's basically what every phone should do, and some do very, very well. I've previously exalted the virtues of the OnePlus 15 for many of the same things.
But the S26 Ultra takes these ideas and, as it always has, expands upon them in ways that so far only Samsung has been able to. On top of that, it delivers impeccable battery life (and finally great charging speeds), and the still-hanging-on S-Pen is vital to the things I need from a daily driver.
Above all, it's reliable. I know that it won't let me down while at work. I can see it as an indispensable utility at festivals, where my days extend into 13-hour marathons that mix documents, notes, video and audio recording, and social media management. Few other devices outside of folding phones can promise such capability with so few compromises.

OnePlus Pad Go 2
"Tremendously powerful and packed with an incredible display, the Pad Go 2 is one of the best Android tablets for the money. "
When reviewing a device like the OnePlus Pad Go 2, you have to consider the price and the target audience. You don't pit it against an iPad Pro that costs 1200 Euros, nor do you compare it to the top-of-the-line Samsung pads, either. Instead, you look at the competition and what it delivers for the audience that demands a middle ground of form and function.
In that regard, the OnePlus Pad Go 2 represents the sensible and practical leap we've come to expect from the company in their phone department. It is as close to a flagship killer as a tablet can be. At the 349€ price point, it is aggressively competitive in price, especially when you consider the SD-card expansion on top of the already perfectly acceptable 256 GB starting storage.
If you're on the lookout for a new laptop and feel overwhelmed by both price and choice, there's no reason to settle for a buggy and lesser device anymore. At this price point, the OnePlus Pad Go 2 delivers a better hardware and software experience than most laptops. It's a quietly marvelous device that everyone should strongly consider as a productivity tool that doesn't feature a silver fruit on the cover.

Best gaming accessories
Logitech Pro X2 Superstrike
"Logitech reinvents the game with clever and accessible design that makes using a mouse feel like a brand new experience."
A mouse shouldn't be a surprise anymore. As an invention, it's over 60 years old and has gone through all the iterations you can imagine. By now, no matter how it changes, it's still just a mouse.
And yet, after using the Logitech Pro X2 Superstrike, I'm more excited about it as a computer accessory than anything else like it in years. The basics are still the same, but everything else feels different.
Like the G515 Rapid released in the fall of 2025, the Pro X2 Superstrike is all about capacitive buttons. It rethinks the way we interact with something as simple as clicks and motion. The result is a lighter, more accurate, and immensely more accessible device that just feels right. Like this is how the devices were meant to be from the very beginning.

Logitech G515 Rapid TKL
"Logitech's latest refines the gaming keyboard to perfection."
The G515 Rapid delivers on everything you'd want out of a gaming keyboard today. It's one of the rare cases where something designed specifically for the gaming experience works fluidly as an everyday device as well. Would it replace a dedicated office setup for someone who works on Excel sheets all day? Heck no, but that's hardly the point.
For someone who uses their home setup for all purposes, including work and gaming, the G515 Rapid is the perfect midway point between fun and function. Its advances are such that gaming actually drives innovation at this point, leading to a nicer, more accessible, and high-quality experience on all fronts.
It's my favorite keyboard that I've tested to date, and my new daily driver for the foreseeable future.

Nacon RIG 5 Pro
"Punching far above its price point, the RIG R5 Pro isn't just a great mid-range headset; it's one of the best headsets I've tested all year."
The competition for a well-priced gaming headset has never been tougher. Good headsets are cheap, and cheap headsets have gotten increasingly better. The scale of diminishing returns per dollar spent has never skewed this hard towards the mid- to low-end devices.
Enter the Nacon RIG 5 Pro, a device with a silly name and initially uninteresting visual design that nevertheless reveals itself as one of the best headsets on the gaming market right now – regardless of the intended platform.
Punching far above its price point, the RIG R5 Pro isn't just a great mid-range headset; it's one of the best headsets I've tested all year. The sound quality is brilliant, the materials are sturdy, and it's effortlessly comfortable to use. At this price, you can't do any better.

Logitech G325 LIGHTSPEED
"With fantastic sound delivery even in demanding titles, a surprisingly good mic, and comfort for long sessions, the G325 sets a new bar for this price point. "
The Logitech G325 headset retails at just €79.99 at the time of writing. For that price, they're a steal, regardless of who you are. For gamers with multiple consoles, they provide exceptional quality regardless of what you're playing on. They have excellent battery life, and they don't require tinkering to sound great.
For families, casual gamers, and those who want a worry-free experience, the Logitech G325 provides the best value at this price point.

Nacon Revolution X Unlimited
"Great battery life, durable, fantastic build quality, and maybe just on the verge of being too big."
There are few other controllers that offer this kind of quality with such reliability and adjustability. Razer's lineup is impressive, especially the Wolverine P3 Pro, and might be more suitable for those looking for a pure FPS experience.
But for those looking for an all-rounder controller, something that is equally impressive in any genre of gameplay, you won't find a better fit than the Nacon Revolution X.
