MWC 2026: Honor's MagicPad 4 is the world's thinnest tablet

Honor took to the stage at the Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2026 to introduce their thinnest tablet ever.

MWC 2026: Honor's MagicPad 4 is the world's thinnest tablet

This is the Honor MagicPad 4, the world's thinnest tablet at just 4.8mm. It is also part of Honor's major push to become a leading productivity and content-creation ecosystem.

At first, I couldn't help but be skeptical. On stage, Honor's top brass kept comparing themselves to Apple, the industry standard for productivity and art creation. Surely it is a fool's errand to chase after that crown, especially on a different platform that doesn't have the kind of ecosystem around it?

Well, Honor seems to have proven me wrong in a big way.

The specs are hugely impressive: The MagicPad 4 comes with a gorgeous 12.3-inch, 165Hz, and 3.1k display with 2400 nits of brightness. It has the same eyecare functionality as the Magic V6, such as 5280Hz PWM Dimming.

The bezels mask eight speakers, promising to create spatial audio at an IMAX-standard level.

It is powered by the immensely powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. There's a whopping 66W 10100mAh battery, which Honor claims as all-day battery life.

But what's really impressive is Honor's dedication to functionality and ecosystem integration. The Honor MagicPad 4, like the V6 and its new MagicBook, can transfer content to and from an iPhone and a MacBook without any workarounds. The MacBook, for example, can serve as a wireless display, and the notoriously walled-off iWork suite works for file editing even on the Honor device.

There is a tablet to PC mode that works with the click of a button or by hooking up a keyboard. What's more, the MagicPad 4 is powerful enough to run the personal AI assistant OpenClaw natively.

As far as software and ecosystems go, what Honor has put together this year is truly impressive. It is, in a very real way, the promise of a solid, robust family of products that provides a genuine competitor to Apple.

The MagicPad 4 is on sale starting March 2nd, priced at 699€ for the 12gb/256gb model or €799 for the larger 16gb/512gb model. Early-bird offers on Honor's website offer a €100 discount for a limited time. Look for a long-term review on this site in the coming weeks.
